Auto Sport reports that the new BMW X6 M is just as fast as the BMW E92 M3 Coupe on the Nurburgring according to BMW.
BMW X6 M project manager, Herbert Bayerl, said the 2,275 kg high-performance SUV can match the significantly lighter E92 M3 and its 1,700 kilos.
The predecessor E71 BMW X6 M ran the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in 8:24 minutes while the E92 M3 clocked in at 8:04 minutes – that will put the new F86 X6 M at 20 seconds faster the previous generation.
Furthermore, the record for high-performance SUVs at Nurburgring is held by the Range Rover Sport SVR (8:14 minutes), which BMW says it managed to undercut it several times.
