The latest New York International Auto Show will be remembered by the confirmation of the launching of BMW X2, a new compact crossover from the Bavarian company.
Ian Robertson, The BMW’s Sales Chief, confirmed the rumors. The BMW X2 project dates from 2014, but since the original idea, some changes have been made. It will have X1’s front-wheel drive platform and X4’s and X6’s uniquely styled steel body.
The 5-door layout will be created in a way it gives the X2 coupe-like looks and the rear belt line will be somewhat higher than the X1 has. The interior will probably be very similar to the new X1.
Based on the recent spy shots, rendering artists were able to develop digital images of their vision of the future X2. We can’t wait the revealing to see if they were right!
