No i8 M planned, says BMW

Head of Product Management BMW M Carsten Pries and M Chief Friedrich Nitschke has denied again that the sports division is planning an M version of the BMW i8. Rumors and renderings have been floating around but the German automaker says its not a possibility.

Even if BMW fans are thirsting for another supercar after the legendary M1, the automaker’s focus is on large production models with larger sales margins.
