The Facebook page of BMW M has just posted a photos of the upcoming BMW 1M in Alpine White paint. This new “baby-M†appear at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show as it makes its worldwide debut. The pricing will also be announced there. Speculations range between the US$45,000 and $47,000 price tag. The 1M will be available in Alpine White, Valencia Orange and Black Sapphire colors. The production will run only for one year. Each of these colors will be paired with Black Boston leather with orange stitching in the interior.
Consumers can choose from two packages available: the Convenience Package with Anti-theft alarm system, Comfort Access, Park Distance Control (rear only) and Navigation System, and the Premium Package with Auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, Auto-dimming rear view mirror, power front seats with driver seat memory, ambiance lighting, lumbar support, BMW Assist with Bluetooth, iPod and USB adapter.
Under the hood, the 1 Series M Coupe is powered by an N4 twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter I-6 engine delivering 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. Up to 369 pound-feet can be temporarily attained in overboost mode. Redline is at 7000 rpm.
