Photo Rendering – 2015 BMW M2 Plus Recent Information

Car and Driver, a U.S. publication, reports that the 2015 BMW M2 will undergo a lengthier development process than the 1M, citing sources close to BMW M. Differentiating itself from the M135i hatch and a possible M235i Coupe model with a more aggressive appearance, the M2 is rumored to have large air intakes, wider track, wider rear fenders, rear spoiler, and M exhaust pipes.

The same source reports that the M2 will be available in coupe form alone. “This car excites everyone around here,” says the source at M GmbH. It is most likely that power will be sent to the wheels via the rear-wheel drive platform with an upgraded version of the 3.0 liter TwinScroll turbocharged engine delivering 360 horsepower, matTed to a six-speed manual. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also a possible option.
