BMW Insiders have confirmed that BMW is well into planning a BMW M6 Gran Coupe. Though the vehicle has not been greenlighted for production yet, a full scale clay model has been built and presented to the board of directors. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe will positioned to eventually replace the M5 and M6 at the top of the M family. Launch date will most likely be in 2014, and no details have been released by BMW yet.
The report by BMW Blog said that a source close to the brand described the new M6 Gran Coupe as one of the best looking cars to ever come out of the M gates in Garching. It is expected to be a notch higher and elegant than all its predecessors. Here is a rendering depicting how the vehicle may look like.
