Rumor has it that the new BMW M6 project will not push through. The lack of spy photos do nothing to refute those rumors. But sources say that BMW M’s flagship will still push through and will be unveiled in 2012.
The new BMW M6 will be based on the next generation F12/F13 6 Series. Design lines and treatment will be of the usual M treatment. It will also carry wider rear fenders and the usual four-tailpipe exhaust system common to M models.
There are no specific details about the powerplant yet, but rumor has it that it will be a twin-turbo V8 engine producing around 600 horsepower. The power will be exclusively directed to the rear wheels thus resulting to an impressive acceleration.
