The 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible is currently being manufactured at the BMW Dingolfing Plant together with the BMW 7 Series and 5 Series. Having the production of these three vehicles on the same large plant will lessen the production costs of BMW — just in line with their goals. Parts of the production line include the process of assembling and adjusting the soft top and a unique press hardening technology heated to over 900 degrees Celsius then immediately cooled down to 70 degrees Celsius to create sheets stronger than steel. Here are some photos of the 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible at the production line.
