The 2010 LA Auto Show marked the North American debut of the BMW 6 Series Coupe Concept designed by Nader Faghihzadeh. This concept that emphasizes the new design language at BMW was introduced last month in Paris, and is a preview for the production model launching in 2011.

BMW 6 Series Coupe is the first BMW vehicle to get full LED treatment; driving lights, indication lights, brake lights and rear-lights. Other features include swollen front fenders, after which a sharp, chiseled upper body emerges. It has a wider track that the other 6 series models but has the same length. The suspension has been lowered to enhance the sportiness of the vehicle. The design language is fluid and sculpted, achieving an aggressive and elegant look. The front end of the vehicle appears to be shark-like in shape, as described by BMW’s Chief Designer Adrian van Hooydonk. An additional feature of the BMW Concept 6 Series Coupe is its panoramic glass roof.

The interior is sleek with a more dynamic driver-centric IP. The passenger side dash top looks very interesting and the surface above the glove box fits beautifully along the center stack and into the center console. It features the iDrive Control Display, central air vents, and the audio and climate controls all accessible to the driver. The high-quality leather materials used in the interior with double stitching in a contrasting color accentuates the smooth transition between the centre console and the instrument panel.
