The concept of BMW’s ‘Vision Next 100’ is becoming more and more popular. It’s about the vision the company has for the next 100 years of existence and development.

The concept car will be an autonomous, shape-shifting sporting saloon, with a power source BMW won’t name yet.

It will come in two main variations – you can drive it or it can drive you. Even if you drive, the experience will be much greater than the driving as you know it in the present.

Many futuristic features are yet to be announced, but some of the already known ones include:

• the augmented-reality display to project hidden hazards
• the ‘ease mode’ that switches to autopilot when you decide you don’t want to drive anymore
• ‘alive geometry’, or the triangles on the dash that warn you of upcoming hazards
