A BMW insider named Scott27 released a new rumor this week. This time, the rumor is about a BMW 1 Series Gran Coupe Sports Sedan. Though the report is still highly speculative and is most likely false, this particular model is said to be BMW’s answer to the high demand for a smaller, four door BMW vehicle. If this idea goes through, the vehicle would sit on the rear wheel drive platform and powered by new, powerful, yet economical diesel and petrol four-cylinder turbo engine. The engine and the vehicle itself will most likely be manufactured at the Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.
Would the idea if a BMW 1 Series Gran Coupe Sports Sedan turn into a production vehicle? Is there a need and demand for such a niche vehicle? Or is BMW just expanding their portfolio?
