The first generation BMW X6 is scheduled for a facelift in 2012. Changes will most likely be on the styling including headlights, front, rear, and LED white corona rings for daytime running lights. These are usual changes to expect from a refreshed model. But recent rumors reveal something a bit more interesting than just the styling changes.
BimmerToday reports that a new BMW X6 model will be introduced to the market: a BMW X6 xDrive50d. This vehicle will feature a tri-turbo diesel engine, similar to an inline six-cylinder with 3.0 liter displacement and three turbochargers. It will most likely deliver at least 400 horsepower. BMW is rumored to introduce the new tri-turbo engine in March 2012.
BMW is also rumored to introduce new engines or the X6 xDrive30d, xDrive40d, xDrive35i and xDrive50i to achieve more power and better fuel efficiency.
The next generation BMW X6 will debut in 2014.
