The BMW M division already made the most controversial cars, and the upcoming BMW G82 M4 will probably end up being considered one. This second-generation M4 has a couple of features that are especially uncommon to the many fans of the Bavarian brand. If the current 4 Series Coupe model reveal is a thing to go by, talks surrounding G82 M4 will surely be even more heavily debated.

It’s all because huge kidney grilles on the frond end will be incorporated on the new G80 M3 and G82 M4. That does look rather decent on the 4 Series M Performance, thanks to its mesh-design infused right in the middle of the grilles. However, this will not happen on the M4, apparently. Instead, the M4 will get horizontal bars grille, judging from the details we have coming in from sources and spy shots we’ve already seen.

This means that its overall design will drastically change as well as the feel of the car. The rendering, courtesy of Kolesa, gave a pretty accurate idea of what to expect. This was based on the latest sightings of G82 M4 prototypes.

New grilles have dominated the front end and it looks like two more intakes on the bumper will be added. While a couple of slats meant to pass air towards the wheel wells can be seen over the sides of the bumper.

Although, the wheel design still remains indefinite whether that’s how the end-product will look like. The M side mirrors were also added to the mix, as were the gills on the front fenders.

The rear has the quad tailpipe setup, together with a massive diffuser and a boot lid spoiler lip. All in all, it was an excellent rendering effort; it’s about as close as it can get to the real deal.
