South African workers strike continue as wage talks fail

The South African auto workers strike is still ongoing. The talks between auto companies and the workers union over the weekend have failed to reach a deal.

The 31,000 workers represented by the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA), will continue the strike for the rest of this week until the automobile companies like BMW are willing to meet their demands of a 15% wage increase, more than the 4.2 July inflation rate.
