The BMW F30 335i has been spotted with blue front brake calipers. There is nothing unusual about its size so this may just be a difference in color preference for the brakes used in testing. However, this is not the only interesting detail about the most recent spy photos. Spy photographers have spotted a testing/recording equipment attached to each fender to monitor the brakes, wheels, and/or tires, as well as sensors on the calipers. The fender sensors appear to be microphones, so they may be there for sound testing purposes. Two front-end side view cameras have also been spotted integrated into the sides of the front bumper. The video feed will be shown simultaneously on the control display to provide a clear view at cross traffic and blind sideways and intersections. These technologies will help make the F30 the safest car yet. The car is expected to be revealed in 2012.
