Spy Photo – 2012 BMW 6 Series Coupe with no camouflage

Recent spy shots capture the new BMW 6 Series Coupe without any camouflage. The 2012 6er Coupe is set to launch this year after the convertible model is introduced. This new car presents the new design language at BMW, as seen in the new 5 Series and other upcoming models. Based on this photo, the vehicle looks stronger, more sculpted, and the design lines are more fluid than its predecessor.

Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW’s Chief Designer, describes the front-end of the new 6 series as “a shark-like nose.” It has a unique slightly forward-leaning kidney grille and a full-width air duct within the lower part of the bumper. The long bonnet and shorter overhangs are emphasized.

BMW will introduce two new members of the 6 Series family in 2012: the M6 and the new four-dour Gran Coupe. The new 6 Series Coupe will go on sale this year and is expected to be priced a little less than US$90,000.
