The 2012 BMW M5 was spotted during a testing session at the famous Nurburgring track. This hot vehicle has a V8 turbocharged engine under the hood — a twin scroll twin turbo version of the N63 ( S63) with Cylinder-bank Comprehensive Manifold (CCM) based on the BMW X5 M and X6M engines.Power output has not been confirmed yet. Automobile journalists expect it to be between 585 to 600 horsepower. Other rumors around this vehicle is that it will have a dual clutch transmission is unique to the M5 based upon the 7-Speed transmission in the current M3. An 8-speed unit might also be available with a Stop-Start control.
