The next-gen BMW 7 Series is likely to be 5010mm long, 1815mm wide and 1425mm tall, and will be offered in two wheelbase lengths. Under the hood it will receive a wide array of six-cylinder, V8 and V12 mills, along with inline-six diesels. Also in the works is a plug-in hybrid gasoline-electric model. The same source says a new nine-speed ZF automatic transmission will be offered as standard, while rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive will be available.
