A unique exhibition for car enthusiasts, Techno Classica shows the development of car manufacturers and allows you to take a look into their past and exciting history. Once again, BMW will be the part of this event but this year will have a twist.
2016 is the year of BMW’s 100th birthday, and an anniversary like that surely deserves a proper celebration. Every year, the company brings back various models that were once a huge hit, and this year won’t be the exception: you will be able to see the range of vehicles produced over one century in the Essen exhibition.
Some of the models that will be available to see on the Techno Classica this year come from 1930’s, but even the newer ones make a spectacular sight. Starting from April 6th, the visitors of Essen will enjoy the following models:
- BMW 326 Convertible
- BMW 502 “Barockengell”
- BMW M1
- BMW i8
The special place on the exhibition will belong to the BMW 02 Series models, as they are celebrating 50 years of existence in 2016.
Besides retro and futuristic BMW models, the visitors will enjoy Rolls-Royce and MINI models showcasted by BMW Motorrad. Still, displaying cars on a auto exhibition is not nearly unexpected as displaying a plane, but BMW plans to do that. Klemm L25 was one of the first products of the Bavarian company, and it will be proudly showcasted in Essen this year. Not only it will be shown, but it’s restored to actually fly, and the visitors can expect a spectacular show. Built in 1927, the plane is restored and functioning, and it is currently the oldest licensed aircraft in Germany.
