Currently one of the brand’s oldest cars, the G30 BMW 5 Series still is one of it’s the best-looking vehicles. It was first released in 2015 but still a handsome sedan. Since that time, it received its own LCI facial lift looking better now than ever. However, if you aim for a much striking and stylish appearance for your G30, then AC Schnitzer has much to offer.
This new tuning kit from AC Schnitzer provides a more aggressive look to the recently lifted G30 5 Series LCI. The car received a new side skirt, trunk-lid spoiler or roof spoiler, a new diffuser, and quad exhaust pipes. To fully round out the look, it also gets lowering springs and new wheels. Combined, all of these parts take either the standard BMW 540i or BMW M550i and convert them into sports sedans from standard luxury sedans. At least in appearances alone.
Having said that, AC Schnitzer always has you covered if you want a little more bite to fit its bark. For both automobiles, the famous tuning brand provides performance improvements, bumping the BMW 540i up to 400 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. The BMW M550i has a whopping 620 horsepower and a torque of 619 lb-ft, that’s more than the BMW M5. Both cars can also get exhaust upgrades in addition to the power upgrades, allowing their sound to complement their perceived performance.
Some new products are also on the way, according to AC Schnitzer, including new and very interesting looking paddle shifters, as well as a new iDrive controller. The latter is a little unusual, but a very welcome improvement.
