In a rare and undisguised spotting in China, the new 2016 BMW X1 shows off its oversized kidney grille surrounded by new, elongated and more attractive headlights with the usual eyebrow. The large air intakes dominate the front bumper which also includes chrome inserts for an increased sporty look. In the back, the 2016 BMW X1 sports the typical BMW L-shaped taillights, now with LED strips. There is a rounded nose and a more sculpted hood. The prototype also has the “xDrive25Li†lettering on the side which indicates a long-wheelbase model built for the Chinese market. The new F48 X1 will be built on BMW’s first front-wheel drive platform, offering more interior space. The 2016 BMW X1 will go on sale later this year.
