Two BMW M4 GT3 Models to race in 2022

When they come available in 2022, Turner Motorsport will race the two BMW M4 GT3 models as per Sportscar365. In less than two years, the newly-designed racing car is based on the upcoming BMW M4 Coupe is expected to arrive.

Turner’s M6 GT3 will be replaced by the M4 GT3, which has been a big success recently.

“We fully intend on running a pair of M4s when it’s ready, we’ve been following the progress.” Will Turner said. The race team has provided input in the car construction. According to the owner, as some regulations and specs in North America, are different.

Turner also mentioned that initial Munich reports addressed a fantastic race car with plenty of potentials. The car is powered by a straight six-cylinder twin-turbo engine. And it is built in line with the latest GT3 regulation, due for 2022.

The motor, generating over 500 hp, was tested in February in Munich. And initial tests in the mid-year wind tunnel of the BMW Group were carried out using a 60 percent car scale model.

At the BMW Group plant in Regensburg (GER) in early 2020, the first test chassis of the BMW M4 GT3 was manufactured. The test car for the roll-out was subsequently assembled at the BMW Motorsport workshop in approximately six weeks. Turner Motorsport anticipates the M4 GT3’s 24-hour race debut in 2022.
