[Video] First official videos of the 2022 BMW 2 Series Coupe

Fresh from its premiere, we got you the first official video of the 2022 BMW 2 Series Coupe to show off the new model in all of its beauty. Check out the video below.

This November, the G42 generation will go on sale with an MSRP of $36,350 for the 2022 BMW 230i Coupe. While the 2022 BMW M240i xDrive Coupe will be $48,550, plus $995 Destination. Both of these units will arrive on early 2022 as a rear-wheel-drive vehicles.

Although larger in dimension, this second-generation 2 Series arrives with a lower stance. All non-M240i versions are now 4.3 inches longer, 2.6 inches wider, have 2.0-inch longer wheelbases, and 2.8-inch wide front and 1.9-inch wide rear wheel tracks.

They’re also 1.0 inches lower, giving it a sportier look and a lower centre of gravity. The BMW M240i, on the other hand, developed in a different way than its non-M Performance siblings. It’s 3.5 inches longer, 2.6 inches wider, and 1.0 inches lower than the preceding M240i, but its wheel track has grown 2.5 inches in the front and 2.4 inches in the back.

According to official data, the G42 2 Series is around 200 pounds heavier than the F22 generation. Of course, this is owing to additional standard equipment and a beefier bodystyle, but it’s still a substantial weight for a compact sports coupe. Despite this, the M240i is a high-speed automobile.

The eight-speed ZF automatic transmission is standard on all 2 Series vehicles. Hence there is no manual transmission option in any markets.
