[Video] Get a closer look at G82 BMW M4

The forthcoming G82 BMW M4 is a fascinating car. There are several layers to its story, layers that can influence the success or failure of the car.

It sports a controversial grille, for example, but it looks perfectly fine everywhere else. G82 BMW M4 also has a fantastic new powertrain and frame, but it still weighs too much. It provides with a rear-wheel drive and manual gearbox, but only with the less powerful engine.

So it’s going to be the kind of car we’re not going to be able to judge completely until long after we drive it. Before then, though, this latest Autogefühl video gets you as close and personal as you can be.

This video is as in-depth as one can get, as expected with Autogefühl. Thomas, the host, will take you through all the essential details of the new BMW M4 ‘s exterior, interior, powertrain and technology, leaving no worthwhile question unanswered.

The exterior is where he begins and presumably where you would like to start as well. To say the least, the latest grille of the M4 is polarizing, with a style that has split the whole fanbase of enthusiasts. The rest of the exterior architecture of the car is, luckily, almost universally praised. Undoubtedly, the M4 is a decent looking vehicle that only needs a nose job.

Inside, though, the BMW M4 has an interior that looks good, and a little too secure. It does get some crazy looking seats in Competition-spec, however, with carbon fiber-backed buckets. In addition to being extremely welcoming, your seats will definitely be a conversation piece for each of your passengers when you specify the eye-catching yellow / blue color scheme.

A 3.0 liter twin-turbo I6 with 480 horsepower in standard-spec and 510 horsepower in Competition spec lies under the hood. It also, sadly, weighs as much as the moon. We just don’t know how BMW made the M3 and M4 so heavy, but here we are.

Just over 100 kg or so, the BMW M4 Competition is smaller than the much larger BMW M8 Competition. Just over 100 kg or so, the BMW M4 Competition is smaller than the much larger BMW M8 Competition.
