[Video] The BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe Review

Possibly the best looking car in Bavarian manufacturer’s range today is the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe. Showcasing an edgy, and aggressive appearance delivering a first-rate performance. The 1/4 mile times seem to suggest that you don’t really need more efficiency, but people still want more. This is when you feel the necessity of a proficient tuner just like AC Schnitzer.

A while back, the German tuner released its kit for the M8. But today, thanks to Joe Achilles, we are taking a closer look at the tuning package. He was invited to Aachen to try out the updated version of the BMW M8 Competition Model. The AC Schnitzer ACS8 Sport, which comes with no less than 720 hp.

The BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe gets scrutinized

That’s nearly 100 HP more than the stock model and while it might not sound like much. There are some other tuners out there offering much more – at least with your purchase you get a warranty. Something you don’t see all the time.

But the treatment of AC Schnitzer never depends solely on the power production. The tuner based in Aachen also launches aerodynamic solutions for suspension, exhaust and. The car has everything on it, as Joe points out.

The exterior is decorated with aerodynamic upgrades. Such as a new full spoiler lip up front, new side sills, or a bumper for the tailgate boot lid. Forged wheels are also part of the menu, of course, and the car is equipped with massive 21′′ wheels.

Joe jumps in the car, as usual, to teach us a little about how it works. Keeping in mind all the effort AC Schnitzer put into it, will this car be any better? Well, I think that’s up to what you’re looking for. If you want a smoother trip, this car is perfect for you.
