The all-new BMW 6 Series Coupe made its world debut at the 2011 New York International Auto Show. BMW Vice President of Design Adrian Van Hooydonk designed the new 6 Series himself. Under this new design direction, the new 6 Series Coupe gets some design cues from the CS Concept, the new 5 Series, and the 7 Series. This model is at the top of the 6 Series range — offering extreme luxury and aggressiveness that will dominate any road condition.

It features a unique headlight shape from the Gran Coupe Concept, a newly designed rear end, L-shape taillights, and a full LED treatment. The new 6 Series is still committed to offer excellent driver orientation. A built in 10.2 inch display with chrome plated frame that reveals the latest infotainment system from BMW is also featured.

The vehicle is 75 millimeters longer than its predecessor, which adds comfort and space for the interior. The 39-millimeter increase in width and 5-millimeter reduction in height adds the sportiness of the vehicle. At market launch, the 6 Series Coupe will be available in two engine variants: BMW 650i Coupe with eight-cylinder powerplant (300 kW/407 hp) and BMW 640i Coupe with six-in-line petrol unit (235 kW/320 hp) which both are matted to an eight-speed Sports automatic gearbox with Auto Start-Stop function and ECO PRO mode. No pricing has been announced yet.
