Check out the Official Debut of the 2023 ALPINA XB7 Facelift

ALPINA gave us a sneak peek of the 2023 ALPINA XB7 in April which was based on the recently modified BMW X7 M60i. It sports a reworked front fascia with split headlamps and a spoiler lip. Unlike the M Performance X7, this one retains the pre-LCI model’s four round exhaust tips as a distinctive feature.

The XB7 LCI, in classic ALPINA form, features exclusive alloy wheel designs of both 21 and 23 inches in diameter. The smaller wheels have 285/45 R21 front and rear tyres, while the larger wheels have 325/30 ZR23. Blue callipers with white lettering surround the 15.5-inch front and 15.7-inch rear Brembo disc brakes.

Let’s check things out beneath the hood before we get inside. The new BMW XB7 is powered by the S68 engine, which features mild-hybrid technology. The ALPINA version of the twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 produces 630 horsepower, an increase of 18 over the XB7’s output in its pre-LCI incarnation. A consistent 590 lb-ft of torque is provided from low engine speeds (1,800 rpm) up to high ones (5,600 rpm). With this V8 power, you can go from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, cover the quarter mile in 12.4 seconds, and reach a top speed of 180 mph. Those are some rather fantastic performance figures for a vehicle that weighs in at a hefty 5,986 pounds.

The 2023 ALPINA XB7 comes with six or seven seats, just like the BMW X7 M60i. It also features a 12.3-inch driver display and 14.9-inch touchscreen, both standard. In all XB7 models, an illuminated “XB7” emblem replaces the “M” in the M60i and the “X7” in the base xDrive40i. Luxurious features such as illuminated door sills, a production plaque, and upscale stitching are all standard in an ALPINA. The standard two-axle air suspension guarantees a smooth ride. ALPINA is responsible for styling the glass iDrive controller and adding blue lighting to the gear selector. A leather-wrapped steering wheel and piano lacquer or natural walnut anthracite wood interior trim are two more distinguishing features.
