Wagons may not be as entertaining as SUVs in some countries. But the same cannot be true with others. While BMW pulled their sport wagons from the U.S, they have been releasing astonishing ones in other countries. For example, BMW released the M340i xDrive as its latest wagon. Likewise, the BMW M340d xDrive is also an amazing one. In addition, another exciting wagon like ALPINA B3 Touring is out. And after reviewing the latter, Car and Driver judges ALPINA B3 tops the BMW M340i.
Fans of BMW and ALPINA already know that M3 doesn’t have a wagon shape. And they also know that ALPINA will handle this dilemma. For example, the 5 Series, and X line up from BMW are tuned by ALPINA to get the shape customers want. Likewise, ALPINA tunes the 3 Series as well.
Even though the B3 may not be as fast as the future M3, the differences are only minimal. Certainly, a 480 or 510 horsepower is not a necessity for everyone. Also, the reviewers from Car and Driver were amazed by the B3. Their superb experience made them wish it would come to their country.
Further, Car and Driver really loved the chassis of the ALPINA B3. Accordingly, even in the tightest setting, the car is so smooth. The reviewers added that this is the most astonishing feature of the ALPINA B3. Likewise, the Comfort mode was not excessive. And this is an amazing feature not seen in many other cars. Additionally, it has better steering compared to M340i.
Overall, the review from Car and Driver uplifts the B3. And their comparison ended with the agreement that ALPINA B3 really tops the BMW M340i. The overall look and comfort of the B3 made it more exciting. It may not be as powerful, it gives more fun to the ride.
