Manhart Elevates BMW XM with MHXM 900 II Upgrade

Manhart has breathed new life into the BMW XM with its MHXM 900 II package, transforming the luxury SUV into a powerhouse. Despite the XM’s modest sales figures, Manhart’s modifications take the vehicle to extraordinary levels of performance and style, making it hard to ignore.

Under the hood, the MHXM 900 II package upgrades the XM’s twin-turbo V8 to an impressive 888 horsepower and 885 lb-ft of torque. This is a significant leap from the standard XM and even its high-performance Label Red variant. Achieving this output involved the installation of Manhart’s MHtronik powerbox. Buyers can also opt for a performance-enhancing exhaust system, including a stainless steel exhaust with valve control or an Akrapovic slip-on system. Manhart even offers an option to remove catalytic converters for international markets, though this bypasses European regulations.

Manhart’s signature black-and-gold aesthetic sets the XM apart, with gold accents embellishing the front splitter, air intakes, and tailpipe surrounds. The SUV also boasts massive 24-inch wheels wrapped in wide, high-performance tyres—offering traction akin to that of a hypercar. Gold-painted brake callipers and forged carbon fibre elements further enhance the aggressive design. H&R lowering springs complete the visual transformation, ensuring the XM looks striking and has an imposing stance on the road.

The interior retains BMW’s luxurious feel, but Manhart has added subtle touches like a custom steering wheel badge and additional carbon fibre trims. These changes maintain the XM’s premium appeal while aligning with the exterior’s bespoke styling.

With bold looks and a dramatic increase in power, Manhart’s interpretation of the BMW XM proves that even the rarest SUVs can still turn heads and pack a serious punch. This reimagining of the XM prioritises performance and presence in equal measure.
