The 2024 Alpina B3 GT, B3 GT Touring, and B4 GT are set to hit the Australian market, offering enhanced power and performance. These new Alpina models, inspired by the latest BMW 3 Series, feature a powerful twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight-six engine producing 389kW/790Nm. This boost in output comes from updated ECU mapping, adding an extra 25kW.
Transmission improvements help these models reach 0-100km/h faster, with times now at 3.4 seconds for the sedan, 3.5 seconds for the wagon, and 3.5 seconds for the Gran Coupe. Top speeds range between 305 and 308km/h. They are handling benefits from a beefier rear swaybar and a new shock absorber configuration.
Distinguishing features include black exhaust outlets, front canards, a gloss-black rear diffuser, unique 20-inch wheels, and various interior enhancements such as strut braces, GT-lettered scuff plates, and the Alpina Lavalina steering wheel. Standard equipment from previous B3s and B4s, like the 14.9-inch digital instrument cluster and 16-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system, remain.
According to Phil Jeffery, Alpina Australia’s sales manager, these models promise more driving pleasure with increased power and torque. The B3 GT starts at $181,900, the B3 GT Touring at $184,900, and the B4 GT at $189,900, excluding on-road costs.
