if the hot air u are referring to is coming from the bottom vents (leg vents), then i think it's normal cos my 03 318 is also doing that. just switch to the face vents mode.

Yup, had the same problem with my last ride - E36. In the end, had to fork out 800+ bucks to change the whole damn cooling coil unit. The job took about 1.5 days to complete. After that, aircon good as new. Felt like winter time again! :goodup:
