Re: E92 Whining sound within cabin
To add information to this, I hear it when the RPM is around 1500 and the car is doing 60km/h. Not sure if anything to do with the belt tensioner and/or alternator. May bring it in for a check when I have time to run around. Any folks any idea on this? I...
Re: E92 Whining sound within cabin
I too have this kind of whining. Seems to come from the left side. Seems RPM related as I can hear it when accelerating/decelerating with RPM is around 1500. Otherwise, I dun really hear it and it is not very loud though. Read the bimmerfest and e90post...
Re: My issues with my new E90
Crazy, care to elaborate on your issues? How is the car now? By the way, where and which SA did you talk to? I have tried all 3 centres and they all seems to give out suspiciously similar responses. I suspect they can only detect the issue properly when your...
Re: My issues with my new E90
Thanks guys for the input. I think I may have been too light on the gas pedal. Since coming over from my previous Jap ride, got a lot of adjustment issue with it. I will certainly take the civic approach to talk to them until no choice then bang tables. However...
Hi guys,
got a few issues that hopefully you guys can help identify them. I went down to PML for several times already and each time, they either claim it is normally or cannot detect the issue. If you guys have come across these issues and have resolved it somehow, I would rather trust...
Re: E90 320i - Transmission jerky when slowing
Got them to test it this morning. Could not duplicate issue. Maybe the jerks while slowing could be due to the brake assist. The SA told me only the newer models have this. He did a system scan and found no issues. Perhaps it is my driving style...
Re: E90 320i - Transmission jerky when slowing
How long did the reprogramming takes? My SA asked me to drive down to get someone to test it. Hopefully is just a minor programming thing :)
Hi owners of 320i,
do you experience jerks when slowing down to a stop from a slow cruise. What I mean is when you ease off the gas pedal, you feel the down shifts and the car jerks. I get this when surmounting the slope near my home. As I ease off the gas pedal to apply brakes, I get...
Re: New to forum needs advice
Sounds like a good idea but I may not be able to make it as I have to ferry kids to tuition and such. Perhaps another time. However, will really appreciate if you guys/gals can alert/advice me to the things (any things at all) here or via pm to watch out for when...
Re: New to forum needs advice
Thanks. Will take note. Service inclusive, BMW Driving Training. What else do u guys normally ask for when bargaining with the SE?
Re: New to forum needs advice
Any idea how much does a normal servicing cost at PML? All new cars come with 3 yrs or 100KM parts and labour warranty. Does it mean at servicing, you only pay for disposables like oil and filters etc? Can bring your own engine oil?
Re: Advice on buying the 320i Airshow
Hi Crazy_,
I am oso looking to buy the 320i. Can you share with me what the deal you have gotten? Also, which SE serves you at which PML center?
Rgds,
Shaun
Re: New to forum needs advice
I wass offered the airshow version for 5k less. Not sure really worth it since the SE claims that the xenon lights alone is 2k. My only concern is the reliability as I had really bad experience with my Opel which is a continental car. In fact I had selected the...
Re: New to forum needs advice
Thanks for the comment. I really like the 320. I guess the straight 4 is sufficient for me as I used it to commute daily and ferry my kids to school, not going to chiong or what :) Do you have links to the facelift models? Yes, my previous Opel Vectra is a 1.8. A...
Hi guys/gals,
new to this forum. Actually don't own a Bimmer yet but is seriously considering to buy the E90 320i. Was at the showroom at PML Bukit Timah last Saturday and test drove the car. Love it. However, was having second thoughts about it after reading all those issues with quality...
