Hi, ay one out there know how much it cost for a reconditioned gear box? My car is pre FL E46, 318 model, coming to 6 yrs, 110k mileage.

Anybody know how much and where to install this apart from PML on a > 5yrs old, E46 pre FL model? Any advice is much appreciated.

ANy advice on whether I shld retain my exisitng BMW 318i? Going to be 5 yrs old in Apr. A lot of people advice I shld change it b'cos of the lower OMV when it turns 5 yr old? Although I thot the sale value to any dealer would have attached that to the value....

Re: starting problem Has anybody try to pump the highest grade petrol (Caltex or Shell)? This will clean the carbon built up over the period and will help improve the situation. I have similair problem and this is how I am managing it.

Heard from certain workshop that the face lifted 318i with valvetrnoic is not so reliable. Anybody can advice?

Has anyone heard about from used car dealer that if your current car's mileage is more than 100,000km, your can't export overseas?

Anybody can recommend where to get my car for an oil service apart from PML? How much does it cost? Also, I have been getting coolant warning light, is this due to leak or need to change the coolant since car is 4.5yrs old? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, my 318i, 4.5yrs old recently has an air con problem. Air was not cold and i sent it to non PML workshop for an assessment. The feedback was that the fan coil is spoilt and quoted me close to S$1.2k. Should I proceed it ? Are there any other common known problems on 318i model (E46)...

No major problem but just to plan ahead in the eventaulity whether it is economically to ratain the car with a repalced gear box or I should start scouting for a new car.
