Which period of svcing did u do? is it first 10k? for mine, dunno if should use 5w30 or 5w40. is it a must to buy the recommended castrol? becos I do prefer mobil 1 also....
Did u buy ur own oil filter and provide to PML too?

hi guys...going to svc my car soon, e89 s20i (first svcing, 10K mileage). PML quoted $289- $389 for oil change only! which is quite pricey.
Anyone got experience buying ur own engine oil (the recommended one is Castrol?) and just paying PML for the labour...

btw, i forgot whats the servicing interval...the first servicing is done at 10K? or every 6 mths? mine is 10 mths old, mileage 8K

installed at Juzz for cars @ Sin ming...H&R, $600 incl GST + wheel alignment

Actually I cant detect any difference in the firmness of the ride,just the car feels a lot lower and yes can help improve driving skills!

how long did they take to replace the electrical unit? is it located at the front panel? they told me they replaced front panel where air-con is, hope they meant electrical unit. ..cos the problem still occurs from time to time...although much less than...

cupholders - they told me they replaced the front air-con panel and still the problem occurs from time to time....if i had bought the Z4 after 1 Sept, i'd have a brand-new Z4 by now cos they cannot repair the problem...! ur aircon problem, izzit the air-con...

leonardlp-- yah cannot lower too much also if not will have problems parking in my house. air-con problem still acting up from time to time!! PML never solved the problem! :furious:

yah my s20i has the electronic damper control rite? this is the one where i select the "sport" or "normal" mode? so change springs wont affect it at all?
how old ur fren's set? H&R?

i'm thinking of changing springs on my Z4 E89, will lowering springs (not considering coilovers due to price...) affect the dynamic suspension setting (i think it's the EDC) on the car?? a bit noob on this.
any recommended workshops to do this and any brands (H&R etc)??

agreed...but the s20i is new model and wouldnt have 2nd-hand ones out in the mkt for at least a year or so....so no choice buy new....
on the good side, the replacement car given is a brand-new X1 (s18i)...only 2 mths old i think...(SKF plate, 700km...
