Re: 730li e66 probs Btw did anyone encounter starter motor failure before? I have a few friends(530i and 630i) who got it at around 120-130k mileage so am considering doing it as a preventive maintenance. I dun want to tow the car haha.

Re: 730li e66 probs If u are at 4" height at the rear then I think your levelling sensor is busted. One way you can diagnose is you swap the sensors and see if the other side becomes 4". I think the 7er is quite a complex car and not all mechanics have the proper knowledge or tools required...

Re: 730li e66 probs The parking brakes on the 7er are activated via hydraulic pressure when the engine is running. When u turn off the engine then the mechanical system engages, the jerk is the "handover" from hydraulic release to mechanical engagement.

Re: advice on 2nd hand E65 Can... just note that when the sign comes on, you only have ABS left, no traction control or ESP. Just turn off engine and restart then back to norm. Abit irritating but i guess can live with it haha

Re: 730li e66 probs I think body should be realistically 10-15k depending on supply and demand. I heard demand slowing down though so maybe that explains the low quotes.

Re: advice on 2nd hand E65 Steering angle sensor, just behind the steering wheel. Its a typical problem. Usually shows itself as Drive control failure with the yellow DTC logo light up on the dash + turn signals don't cancel + auto-hold brake failure when you try to engage it.

Am retrofitting bigger brakes(760) on the 730Li so need new pads and saw some of these brake pads on UK site and was wondering if anyone has tried them before. I think most available here in SG are Textar but its super black dusting. Bear in mind these are the OE type, not the sport ones

Re: advice on 2nd hand E65 Actually gasket leaks not expensive to repair, just the valvecover gasket(incl valvetronic,etc) and oil sump gasket. Nothing much else leaks. At least for N52 3.0 engine. I saw on a website in US, the electronic solenoids cost something like 6-700usd. Can do this...

Re: Side mirror cannot fold?? If you need the button and opening assembly let me know, I ordered 3 sets from germany and its being shipped over, i think around 85. My button flies out when i close it LOL, not to mention all the paint flake off.

Re: 730li e66 probs From what I understand, for cars manufactured pre 09/2005, the valve cover is black and one of the differences are the breather hose from valve cover to oil separator. Anyway in my 2 mths of ownership, I have encountered a few of the common problems on the car which...

Re: 730 LI Level Control System Error I think 2xx each, since u are on lowered springs I think u should consider getting the shocks for the msport version. Probably a better match for ur springs.

Re: Holes in the rear lights cover I bought the ULO ones from ES and fitted myself haha. Took me about 30 mins haha, didn't know its that complicated, thought it would be a 10 min job. Cost 320 a pair
