Where to find tyres of this size? Went to autobacs and only saw them selling up to 18" only... wondering how much on average will it cost for 275/40 & 315/35 tyre size? runflat or normal?

I get all my 20" and also 22" tyres from Rays in Kaki Bukit. He's got a great selection of brands.

However you may want to call him first on your 315s. Call Raymond at 6342 2328.

Re: 20" tyres

current ride e60 w standard 17" rim. so tempted to switch to 18" rim. But read couple of threads where those season 18/19" riders r switching back to 17" to get the comfort. Any advice out there whether 18" is the way to go, or just stick to 17" for the comfort. Pls advice

Rarely i hear ppl downsize back after upgrading their rims to 18/19", unless selling car...

Going from 19" to 20" is similar to going from 18" to 19"...if you know what I mean. I feel the rim on the road more but I find that SG roads are really not an issue at all. Malaysian roads may be something else though.

You've just got be a bit more careful when driving hard...no trekking in your 20"s.

Weight was a consideration for me when selecting my 20"s so you would want to go with something light. Replicas tend to be a tad heavier and you can feel the slowdown but I realised you can't have gr8 performance and looks at the same time.

I'm talking from the perspective of driving with a 335 engine though. With lower power also comes other comments but I'll let the others share this.

Re: 20" tyres

Hello, friends! Any advise whether I should spend $$$ to upgrade 18" rim to 20" rim (with wider tires)?? I am driving a E70 X5. Is it worth it?

Re: 20" tyres

if you willing to spend $ is worth.
the whole car handling will be improved.
Do remember to get a premium quality rim and tyre .
IS no point to upgrade size and downgrade qualities.
And also best go for the wheels that for SUV (very heavy car weight) and avoid ultra lightwieht wheel (mostly for saloon is OK).
also beware of X6 OE rim the centre hub dia for front and rear not same(F 74.1 R 72.6) (correct me if i am wrong)
