guys, i'll be buying a 3 series convertible but i'm having a headache over which version to get. thus would require your opinion.

in '07, the 3 series hard-top convertible would be released. whats the problems associated with each? any potential problems to look out for??

thanks for your help!

Cheers!

imo, hardtop convertibles looks better, and more "solid" due to hard top.

The 07 3 series convertible not here yet so how to compare?? ha

I tot the E92 'vert only comes with a folding metal roof?

Hard top:

- Perhaps lesser creaks ? (Just a hunch)
- Best of both worlds, but lack the soft-top cabrio feel......

Soft top:

- Needs simple maintenance like application of impregnating solution.
- Ease of damage, canvas subject to wear and tear, vandalism

in Singapore...
Hard Top wins hands down...
better heat insulation?
feel safer during monsoon season?
not so worried driving it into neighbouring country...
less farkers sticking cigarettes, gum, tissue on your top?

only worry? PML mechanics having the first go at your roof without prior experiences...

Suggest you wait for the hard-top convertible.
2 cars in one.

Also, better noise insulation at high speed.

Get the 335, all the grunt will be best explioted with the hard-top.

Cheers
