Hi All,
I am new to BMW and just bought a 2008 325. I find that when the car moved off from stationary, the first gear feels like it is pulling a parachute. Is this normal? If it is not, what can I do?

ok on a serious note, get a powerbox and go for a proper oil change.

Tyres too big? Under inflated?

Alfa is using selespeed. BMW is using 6spd AT. In addition, BMW 6spd starts from 2nd gear.

Try manual shift from Gear 1 & see got difference or not.

If is still under warranty, bring back to the dealer's WS and get it rectify.

It is not a problem/ issue to be fixed. The 325i is tuned for smooth pick up in normal drive mode. Push to DS mode and the acceleration characteristic is totally different. I know cos I used to drive one!
