Hi Guys. $999 can get Chili red arrowana?
I bought it from a shop at serangoon (Heisenberg). My friends told me the price for chili red arrowana should be ard $1500.
My worry is , maybe they give me low grade arrowana. How can i tell if it is red arrowana?

The arrowana will only be deliver to me by this weekend ,so not yet receive the cert.

do you know the size ? normally should be ard 8 to 10 " the colour will not crack to red so fast.
it take est 2 yr to crack ti red.

mid size or small ones better? Just call him and now he ask me to top up another $300 for his grade 1 red arrowana. Should i topup again.

I know nuts about arrowana.

there are many diff type of breed, like Wajok,VIP,QH chilli, Yuda chilli, Fire Red etc.
You can check with them what type of red they r selling to you. 3 month ago Red are selling ard 600-800 / pcs . if you go to Clementi Bk 328.

Gold Variety
Crossback Golden (XB)
Tongyan (TY - Cross between G1 Red and Crossback Golden)
Red Tail Golden / Highback Golden (RTG)

Red Variety
Grade 1 Super Red (Chilli / Blood)

The rest will be labelled by themselves.

For market pricing, The more costly one will start first and then to the lowest.

Highly Prized : Crossback Golden / Tong Yan / Grade 1 Super Red
Mid Range : Red Tail Golden / Highback Golden (RTG)
Lower End : Grade 2 Red / Grade 1.5 Red / Green / Black / Jardini / Lei / Silver

From what I heard very recently, Grade 1 reds are selling relatively cheap recently due to oversupply by Indonesian farms.. live stocks very hard to keep for long.

To be very truthful, if you really want a red arowana with good color development, it's better to get them slightly larger at 10-12 inches with color already showing with a good intensity of dark orange/red but these command a premium.
