so questions.
1.are replicas heavier or lighter than oem acs
2. are oem 116 style 17 " rims and run flats heavier than 18 acs plus ps2?
i was at pml i really like the one with the bolts but was told not availabel for 18"
saw a black 520 car reg SDM1XXXG nice! with acs 18 with bolts .....are these replicas or oem acs..can the owner reply let me know where you got it from.

chiong one consists of 2 types... matt finish or chrome lip finish. only comes in 18" type 4 racing (with studs). those dat u saw with 18" has to be replica cuz original doesnt come with dat size. you can either approach autovox or hurry. sometimes they do carry replica. if you are toking abt orignal, pml or stamford tyres do carry them. price range ard mid 1k plus per rim..hope this helps. cheerssds said:

AC type IV racing 18" & 19" (replica) already available quite sometime. Some of our forum members have them on their 3ser & 5ser.
Replica 18" & 19" should be able to get from local tyre shops at reasonably price and mostly Taiwan made. IMO, they are not too bad (in terms of finishing, durablility & price).

i didn't bother, but you can try your luck and search for the type IV racing in 18"

dude, its not abt which one is better, very individual. I prefer type 2 as is much suttle, easier to clean, the 'studded' ones you're referring to are the 2 pc racing ones. they've it in type 2,3 & 4s. don't worry too much abt noise coz 5ser insulation is at pretty decent level, but of coz if you're lowering ur ride than it'll be slightly noisier. ride comfort will not be compramise if your suspension set-up is the right one. ps2 a gd choice imo. so have you decided on the oem or replicas?sds said:

The studded and non-studded ones are sold side by side. The one with the studs is the Racing series. So boils down to personal preference. Those who prefer clean lines may not like the studs. Those who do DIY washing may find cleaning the studs a hassle!
