Thanks to Ngee Seng for making this happen, some lucky folks like me were able to re-do this course once again, but this time, in Shanghai F1 International Circuit.
Like those days when we went to Sepang after trying Pasir Gudang, the sight of the Shanghai F1 track is magnificant and we were told that any one time, there is about 250 people working in the track for the maintenance alone..... Awesome.
This couse has been slughtly tailored so that we had about 3 hours of track time. All in all, we clocked about 12 laps each on the track and another 12 lap as the co-driver while we get all pumped up by chasing the car in front of us.
The car used are the E90 325i but it must have been the weather ( average temperature on track for the whole day was 9 degree) cos the car felt they were on steroid and the car was chirping away everytime we plant the accelerator.
The only way to describe the track was "Sensational" and if you think Sepang is fast, then think about this. At the U-Turn before the back straight, we were entering the corner at 130kph and the right foot stay planted on the accelerator for the next 15 second or so before we brake for the turn after the back straight and clock speed of around 210kph on the 325i at the 300m mark. I supposed 225 to 235kph may be possible if we were more committed and the if not for the cold weather, the balls could have expand a little bigger and brake much later
Anyway...... the experience can't be descripted in words and maybe, some photos may tell a better story
Enjoy........
