Advantage to upgrade to 18" rims

Hi all,

Currently driving the e46 sports edition with 17" rims. Now time to change my tires and caught in two minds to upgrade to 18" or just to keep the 17". Wanted to check if there are any advantage in going for the 18" since I've read that rim size is ideal for the 3 series.

I think the e46 sports edition with 17" M star spokes looks very nice liao wor

18 inch theoratically improves looks and improves handling. However when handling improve, comfort suffers. Not much though. Also when moving off will experience a little lag. But i think upsize by 1 inch only the effects are not very significant.
