Hi All
I faced this issues recently. When I am in D mode, the air con function properly but recently when i drive in DS/M mode, my aircon slowly become blowing hot air. I went to a WS to top up the gas and air con is cold again. But then a one to two days later i drive in DS/M mode again the air con slowly become blowing hot air again. Something i notice when i change to DS/M mode is that there is a smell coming out during the change but after that it was gone. I was suspecting it has something to do with me driving in DS/M mode so now i drive in D mode only. My air con seems to be working fine and no issue anymore even after one week.
Anyone know the reason?
Additional information, when the first time aircon not cold i went to the WS, the WS did diagnostic for me. They inform me that compressor might be too old already and not as strong. Then i went to a second WS to get another opinion he told me if got smell means cooling coil leaking the gas that is why got the smell. So i not sure what is the real problem.
Is there anyway to pinpoint which is the real issues? If its compressor or cooling coil issues? Cause the mechanic mention that is no way to pinpoint the really issues. So first thing is to change the compressor first then after that if problem persist it could be the cooling coil.
Appreciate any comments.
Thank You
