Air Conditioning "breathing"

Sounds like your car's saying "woo hoo woo hoo" going out for a ride ! :laughlik:

I don't know what the other guys here do but as for me, I will usually warm up my engine till the temperature needle touches the first quarter mark before driving off and switching on my aircon. Personally I find that in doing this, the engine seems smoother and quieter and the aircon more silent as well.

Just my usual habit with all my cars.

Good idea rodders, I'll try that!
I used to start my car, run out have a smoke, then run back in... car will be nice and warm...

now that i stopped smoking... i dont do that anymore...

maybe it's time to take up the habit again... for the sake of my car!!

the thing you are experiencing could be due to the aircon thermostat warming up... Huge speculation on my part, but if after the car warms up and it stabilizes then ok... my cars in the US last time used to behave similarly as well when it was winter...

Guys,

I have a problem consistent with my aircon.

Hey dude,
Check your A/C Evaporator sensor and Final State Resistor/Unit sensor. Could be either one or both faulty. Check any fault code with ur BMW agent, it will prompt !
hope this help.
