Akrapovic Evolution LTA vs Non LTA difference??

Hi All,

I am ordering a non LTA Akrapovic to be used outside singapore from a local sgp vendor for F30 335i

I heard about the LTA version as well. what is the difference? Does the LTA has catalytic inside? Does it sound more quiet? Any difference in sound and power?

Thanks but why? because it has catalytic inside? One vendor told me all akrapovic is LTA standard. Another told me there is a non LTA version...

You looking at the full system or just the mufflers ?

Full system is louder than just the mufflers.

LTA will never approve a full system.

Full sytem they told me have lta approve as well

I am on full system and it is With LTA approval.

Very surprised LTA approved without cat.

Generally Akrapovic approved system refers to slip-on with full systems such as Evo (which includes xpipe) is not LTA friendly.

It seems for LTA's approval, we need to get from the authorised dealers. What if the brand got no dealer here is it possible to send car for testing on my own? I am wondering if anyone has done that.

I bought it from the authorized dealer so no problem with inspection. Honestly, the price from authorized and non authorized not much diff

autovox is $200 more expensive than 1 vendor

Yes agreed but to me the LTA certification is more important than $200 bucks

they are all LTA...anyway i dont need LTA one i use outside singapore

I'm very surprised the full evo system is approved. For my n55 335 coupe, only the mufflers are approved. Super jealous But happy for you Ngalan!
