Alright, everyone?

Hi, even though my only intention for registering was to "expose" Eddie, I guess I should perhaps introduce myself, 'cos I do spend quite a bit of time in Singapore.

Anyways, I'm pretty darn familiar with Singers cos I was pretty much educated there, Primary and Secondary (any ACSians, now (I), here? ), before I left for the UK (any Tonbridge School or LSE alumni here?) and still have family and friends there, hence my frequent trips down.

Unfortunately, I do not drive a BMW anymore... but have had pretty extensive experience in them, having owned an e46 330i and then an e46 M3. Those days, I used to drive down to service my car at PML Kampung Arang, as Auto Bavaria in Malaysia were (are) crap (they use Shell engine oils, for god's sake!), and I wanted to keep them serviced by Official centres for warranty purposes. Well, that and TWS Motorsport oil is NOT available in Malaysia unless you order it in yourself.

Anyways, I've moved on to a Porsche, a 911 GT3 Mk.1. Haven't driven that down to Singers yet, as it's on semi-slicks, but perhaps one day I will, and will join up with you guys for a meet or something?

Alright, signing out.

Maybe 'cos you guys live on an itsy bitsy island and don't get out much? Hahaha. Just kidding. It's a term me and a Singaporean friend coined whilst we were in London. Much easier than saying; "Sing-ah-pore", no?

Re: Alright, everyone?

Err.. is it that we often talk cock like sing song??? kekekekkekeek ooppz.. sorry for OT.

Most of them up there don't talk english anyway. Maybe they should be called "Malariers". It fit the meaning if you think carefully. You wouldn't be surprise to find his Porsche, a 911 GT3 is a cosmetic mod from the latest Campro Protons. There is no laws on car modification up there you know. :lol2:

Hey, thanks for coming up with "Malariers"! I was thinking of an abbreviation for Malaysia, when you guys mentioned that you'd never been referred to as "Singers", and I was honestly drawing blanks! Though "Malariers" doesn't roll of the tongue as smoothy as "Singers", though... any more suggestions? I was thinking of "M-sia", but that sounds silly too.

Sure, sure, of course my GT3 is a modded Proton- Malaysia Boleh!

Re: Alright, everyone?

Re: Alright, everyone?

Welcome to the "SINGER" side of our forum and hope you do enjoy your stay here!

Re: Alright, everyone?

Hey there,

thanks for the welcome, it's most appreciated. One of the problems with being Malaysian, but educated mostly in Singers, is that in Singers, everyone will refer to me as a "Malaysian", whereby in Malaysia, everyone refers to me as "Singaporean". Which really sucks.

Anyways, I'm glad some good has come out of this childish reaction/action of mine; with several of your members registering on our forum. We of the BMW Club Malaysia would be most glad to host your club if and when you have any events in KL.

(Especially track days! Do let us know! We'll be most keen to share in the costs and the track time!)

As with all good things, this little saga concerning Eddie must come to an end. Please view the results at the following link.

Looking forward to harassing SG plated cars at Sepang!
