Antenna fin on 2004 318i?

Just got my 2nd hand 2004 318i from deal few weeks ago and only now discovered haven't seen any other 318i with antenna fin on roof. Fin similar to newer BMW. Asked dealer but doesn't know what it is connected to. Anyone know any 318i with fin? Why have fin when no GPS?

I was looking to buy one of these original fin but cannot find lah? Want to sell yours? It is for my OEM GPS.

i think you can buy from eng soon.
It is meant for the gps antenna

Just buy, spray, stick on.

if i am not wrong, the antenna hook up to some where in the boot.

I dont think you can attach an external GPS to it. should be meant to be use with factory oem gps only.( the one with a screen on the middle console)

Where is the connector inside the car? Looked everywhere and cannot find it.

If you look at the tip of the antenna near the windscreen, you will see a black cable running along the boot gasket, ending inside the boot.

Think there's a few earlier models with external antennas. Put there for GPS or better radio receptions.
