Old school means use strobe light to adjust timing?

I am using a site sponsor here that is located in Changi.

Did my servicing at M&Q today. Overall, A satisfied customer. Yep, it's one of those old school workshop and the adv is that you get to mingle with the mechanic. They tell you every detail of your car's condition. And you get your answers for your questions immediately. Disadv, no car wash or cleaning up after servicing. So a little dirty after servicing.
But will certainly do my servicing with them again. They only replace what is required and tell you which can still go on a little longer. They even physically showed me the parts which are going to kaput soon and explained why.
*Thumbs UP*

If u have a specific oil in mind, why not bring it down yourself?

All engine oil is about the same unless u do used oil analysis. As long as viscosity is correct & anally change it every 8k, no issue what.

I bring my own oil as it is cheaper.

If cost is not an issue, and we don't mind using the workshop's oil, honestly, it doesn't make a lot a lot of difference. It's all marketing gimmicks..... you know, like Shell vs SPC vs Caltex vs Esso....

davidtch please thank me.

BMW uses long life oil, no need to change. Once the life ends, you will knw cos the car will break down and thats when u go to PML to select new car and then come here to start name list of all sorts.

Can give Extreme Autosports at Kaki Bukit a try. Their head mechanic used to work at some sponsored workshops here.

Sorry for the late reply. As what MockngBrd said, they are using Mob 1. They suggested 5W40 for my car.
