Anyone experience squeaking noises from F30

Hi,

I have been getting squeaking noises from the door panel and B pillar. These squeaking noise is like 2 pc of material or plastic rubbing each other. These noises are noticeable in the interior when the radio / audio is switched off. It became irritating when the car goes over humps, uneven grounds, up and down ramps, cornering. Any movements when the car flexes, the squeaking eek eek sound appears. Really cannot tahan. My previous e46 was more than 7 years old, no such squeaking noises, everything damn solid.

The F30 car is 2 weeks old. Anyone experience the same for F30?

Went to PML today, they admitted about the squeaking noises is due to the window panel too tight when wind up and when the car body flexes over humps and up ramps, the fricition of door created the squeaking noises. The CA demostrated that when the window is unwind down a little, there is no squeaking noises. I told the CA that after a car wash, the squeaking noises are all gone but back after one day. He said that the soap water / water acts as lubricant therefore no sqeaking noises. They are informed by BMW Asia should this happen, they will apply felt tapes to eliminate the squeaking noises.

Have made appointment with PML to work on this by first week Nov. Let's see how.

I told them they should know about this and have it done at factory level. He said some cars affected some not affected. So the dealer will install.. haiz, I sway sway lor..

haha ... not every car
when new ... maybe 5/5
after 1+ year ... 9/10 lor ...

PML applied the transparent felt tape below on the window trims. Wa lah, no more squeaking sounds. Asked them why? They showed that the hard rubber on the door panel rub against the window trim. He said that this only happens in Asia, he said it is the weather. They admitted that the door flexes when car body rolled, hence the squeaky noises. Initially it happened to e90 and e60, after many rounds of trouble shooting and trying out silicone or lubricants, it only temporary solve the noise issues. Now the felt tape will kind of resolved the issue. There is still little squeaky noises when go up steep ramps in multi storey carparks, it is acceptable for me.

Also have program off the auto start stop. It will turn off when car starts but can be resume back it's function when you on auto start stop again.

Also have radio reception issue with FM98.7, they change another antenna, so far ok, very slight distortion but better than before.

Lastly the cover for the headlight which is below the fender was distort and they changed a new one.

hi hi i am andrew... just joined this forum... i am experiencing the squeeking noise when up ramps and humps, is it the same problem of window friction? can pml solve the problem?
at low speed, i also experience some resistance and take quite some time before the car ram up... some cranking sound could be heard at low speed too esp with the radio switched off... anyone experience this before? any advise?

woah lan..... I may be changing my ride because of the sound being heard in e90 to F30, now after reading this thread, I'm skeptical on whether to transfer my audio system from e90 to F30. btw, PML find no clue to fix the sound in my e90 and eventually pointed at my sound system.

You can just drive your car to PML and ask the technical person to drive around and up ramps together. Tell them the irritating noises from the window and door. See what they say, if applied friction tape then just made appointment to send in car.

As for the cranking noises, not sure. Can ask them too.
