yo guys,

check this out:

http://www.adaptitusa.com/

wah..... you get a spacer and adapter all in one! now i can consider all the cheapo jap/taiwan rims, cheong GC-07 or used forged rims from jeepun cars liao... muahahaha

ok, but seriously, what are the downsides?

cheers

*edit: basket, realised i got grammatical error in my thread title that i can't correct and it's bugging me. mods can help? "heard" not "hear"

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

Downside is.. no piece of mind I guess.

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

Brudders,

Look at the picture carefully. i do not see a spigot for the rim. I think better to steer clear of these adaptors cos if the rims rests on the lug nuts, your car will be prone to vibrations and the lug nuts are constantly being stressed.

Cheers

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

orh...... bad idea then.... shall go cancel my order for enkei rims.....

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

Louis...get OZ Ultraleggera 8/9 Js set up, your car will fly like gliding in the air...so light. Have you seen that Criminal's car?

pak, i'm still not convinced that it won't rub.

i fitted it on and it stucked out like a sore thumb. should have taken a pic.... but it slipped my mind at that time. will see how that crazy dude does on track before deciding.

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

Be convinced, it's all bout maths. U need to see the wheels installed n the car fully rested n settled to really know whether it will rub or not.

When he was on OEM rim with +47offset, he put on +15mm spacers front, no rubbing...Now with OZ and +34 offset in the front, that's for sure well tucked in.
As for the rear, +40 on 9J is the sweetest thing for the car.

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

haha...math...you got me there!

but he had camber adjustment and stiffer suspension right? does that play a role?

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

With Eibach Pro-Kit springs currently on, no problemo.
When u lower the car, u get more natural negative camber so that tucks in the wheels a bit.

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

will bear that in mind bro!

now i'm hearing some intermittent groaning noise and feel a bit of vibration in my steering at full lock in either direction...

brought to J4c and couldn't replicate... now i dunno if its my new steering, new brakes or new rims/tires.... basket la... i don't want to be a pioneer liao. will stick to following what other people have tried and worked. so that's what i'll do with my rims/suspension set-up when it's time.

i'll be watching you and that beach bum like a hawk.... muahaha

Any difference in weight between BBS RS-GT, Rays wheels and OZ Ultraleggera?

Calling the Criminal... may I ask how much you got the OZs for?

Sorry to OT on your thread Louis

check tirerack for weight of the ultras. its on the website. price wise, i think ultras are cheapest.

no worries about the OT. just give me a better price when i'm ready for the coupe i asked you about. btw, i gave up on the ///M idea after my climate control broke down.

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

Louis,

help a brother out. Let me know the options you want so that its easier to spec. Else, it may be a long shot doing it the way I did for da Criminal

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?

will let you know when it's time to sell the 350Z, 5th year coming sometime next year i think. till then, i don't want to bother you too much like i did with the ///M(pai seh, ask so much but no follow through).

Re: anyone hear of wheel adapters?
